Youth
Ebenezer offers multiple opportunities for youth to get involved. Our Sunday School program welcomes children from 4k to 7th grade and is held at 8:00AM from September – May. We host an annual Christmas and Easter program performed by the Sunday School class. Our Sunday School class also learns about local non profits and holds a collection for a different non profit in Calumet County each Sunday School year.
We offer Children’s Worship the first Sunday of each month where the students go up to church after Sunday School. They have an opportunity to help with ushering and reading as well as participating in the sermon.
We also offer a confirmation class for our 8th grade students. They have the opportunity to be student leaders in Sunday School and participate in different worship activities throughout their confirmation year.
Adult
Our congregation offers welcoming opportunities for fellowship, service, and spiritual growth for everyone. The Women’s Guild brings together the women of the church through meaningful service and joyful activities—from community meals and quilting to caring for shut-ins, supporting the parsonage, and lending a hand at church events—while meeting monthly for breakfast and fellowship. Adult Faith Formation invites all to engage the Bible in a thoughtful, approachable way through the Wired Word study, connecting current events with lived faith in lively, welcoming discussions. The Men’s Breakfast gathers monthly for fellowship, conversation, and shared responsibility in caring for church traditions. Whether you’re looking to serve, learn, or simply connect, there’s a place for you here.
Music
Ebenezer’s Music Ministry finds a vibrant expression in the Ebenezer Brass Handbell Choir, a program that began in 1991 through a memorial gift and flourished under the strong support of Rev. Gerry Bertsch and the creative leadership of Jeris Waldvogel. Growing from three octaves of handbells into multiple choirs with expanded bells and handchimes, the ministry welcomes ringers of all abilities—no prior music experience required, only a willingness to serve through music. Meeting weekly, the choir provides special music for worship and special occasions, continuing a rich legacy of faith, artistry, and community rooted in Jeris Waldvogel’s lifelong passion for sharing music as ministry.
