We want to welcome Zach and Carolyn Platner and Melissa Kuhn as the newest members of our Ebenezer family. The Platners have two sons, Logan and Owen, who are part of our Sunday School program and Melissa has a one-year old daughter, Abigail. Melissa is the wife of Nick Kuhn, who is a long-time member of Ebenezer Church.
SUNDAY MORNING USHERING
Please consider adding yourself to the ushering schedule for the upcoming 12 months. It’s a great way to meet the other members of our church family and an easy way to participate in the life of the church. You’ll only be scheduled for a few times throughout the year. You can pick your preferences, if you like. Duties are simple–greet the members and guests as they arrive on Sunday morning, hand out bulletins, light and extinguish the candles and take the offering. Interested? Call the church office at 849-4331 or Edith at 849-4075.
***Ebenezer would like to know of members who are homebound, ill or hospitalized so our card ministry can make sure they are remembered. Please contact Stephanie Adamietz or the church office with any updated information.***
Church Council meetings are every 3rd Sunday of the month following the 9:30am worship service. All are invited to attend these open meetings.
The Wired Word and Confirmation for Adults/Faith Formation are two classes being offered beginning October 10. The Wired Word is a Bible study focusing on current events in the news. It will help to understand what is happening in the world through the reading and studying of scripture. This class will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesdays. Confirmation for Adults/Faith Formation is a class designed for teens and adults who want to expand their knowledge of the basics of their faith. The class will also cover how we use our faith as adults living in a complicated world. This class will meet on Thursdays at 6:30 pm.
Join us on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 13-15 at Heritage Orchard for the Ebenezer brat fry, held in conjunction with the Rural Arts Tour. Proceeds will be split into the areas of the church that the volunteers choose to represent. We encourage you to offer your help. Hours for the brat fry are 9:00am-4:00 pm on Friday and from 10:00 am-3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Can’t volunteer? Okay, just come enjoy some good food. Sign up sheets are in the narthex, or call the church office to sign up.
